What is Profiling or Psychometric Testing?

It is a method of quantifying the underlying abilities, interests and work preferences of individuals. We use three types of tests, ability, aptitude and occupational personality. They measure a person's potential to learn the skills needed for a particular job. A combination of several tests may be used to gain an objective assessment of an individual.

Why are they used?
